The first 143 (not just: 13) downloads had a little error ( see comment #1). Sorry, please download again, it is fixed now ( for real, tested).
Or, delete this line in functions.php:
include_once (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/functions/JavaScriptPacker.phpp’);
Plus see if you have the them twice now: /atahualpa34/atahualpa34/. Delete the directory /atahualpa34/atahualpa34/. This also fixed in the download now
Some new features are:
- Up to 2 sidebars on either side
- External CSS and JS
- Easily create new widget areas everywhere in the layout
- Replace the ellipsis in excerpts […] with custom text & links
- Center or right align the menu bars: I missed to add instructions for this at Theme Options -> Style & Edit HEADER AREA -> Configure Header Area: Use %page-center, %page-right, %cat-center and %cat-right . Note that these 4 new options don’t have an S. It’s not %pages-center but %page-center, etc…
- 4 new fields for the write panel of posts and pages: Body title, Meta title, Meta keywords, Meta Description.
Looks like wordpress.bytesforall.com is PR8 now? Nice

Anyone having problems with the header images not rotating except on reload? I have it set to rotate every 5 seconds, but it only rotates afer each page load.

For some reason, 3.4 makes random YouTube videos hover over my site when it’s viewed with an iPhone. This does not happen when I switch the theme back to 3.2. Oddly, I don’t even use YouTube videos anywhere in my site, so I’m not sure where this coding comes from.

The new update is really good. Now, I can use left align content with two columns on the right. And the custom codes go into the option page so when I update the theme, I don’t need to find where to put my old custom codes again! However, I am just worried that it might take longer to load and might increase server’s CPU load.

Just upgrade 3.33 to 3.4
The only thing you have to do is upload the 3.4 folder, and select the 3.4 theme in your dashboard.
Worked within a minute. Great work, I’m even more happy that I made a donation.

I use this template for my 3 sites! It is perfect (www.moxmovil.com, http://www.jabhobby.com and http://www.paratuinfo.com) the only one that uses 3.4 is the first one, and wanted to upgrade the other two, but dont know how as I am afraid to lose all my customization…. I am using 3.3.1…

The handling of pictures in 3.4 is really bad. Couldn’t add a caption to a photo inserted amongst a headline and bullet points without the whole page going crazy. Also, have found that 3.4 on Firefox 3.0.11 doesn’t always work correctly especially since I upgraded to WordPress 2.8.1.

Great theme and excellent work. I have noticed a couple of issues with 3.4 and wanted to share them with you to see if I am doing something wrong or the settings are truly not being updated correctly. I have not had a chance to go through all of it but so far:
Options|Add a FAVICON
Changing this option does not make a difference as the default icon is still being shown regardless of what the icon is changed to. The setting holds but that does not result in the icon showing. Has been tested with custom favicons and also the ones built in, makes no difference.
Options|Header Image
There seems to be no way to actually turn this option off and make it so there is no images. So I decided to play with the header image: height option and it seems that no matter what it is set to, it will default to 150, I have changed it to various sizes including 0 in the hopes that it will remove it effectively but nothing seems to make a change to the 150 default.
Again thanks for the great work and I will post more as I find them but in the meantime wanted to give these to you in the hopes you can look into them. Take care.

Hi, I am seeing an issue for 3.4 where the Post Title does not show up on the Post Page (but it does on the homepage)… is anyone else seeing that? This is not an issue in 3.3.3.

Oops…I was on the wrong page for the byline author…not a problem now. But the custom read more is an issue.

Having issues placing byline author into the posts and excerpts on front page. Additionally on the custom read more I copied and pasted your example into the field, however, when hovering over the hyperlink on the front page it says http://www.companyname.com/%permalink% and clicking on the hyperlink it goes to an error message page. What’s going on?

Great theme. Love the flexibility. Just update to 3.4 from 3.3 all seems to work except:
1) Lost some widgets in the right hand bar and;
2) have a problem with the “Configure Excerpts” functionality. Everything seems to work except %permalink% is not substituted with the link; it stays literally in the link. You might also think of recommending rel=”no follow” in the tag to avoid duplicate links for SEO.

Hi! I have downloaded the new version, uploaded in my themes directory, activated it, and getting this error:

Looks like there may be a new bug with the feed to do with blog aggregation. A couple of aggregators upon reading my feed would either only “read” the title (when it normally read the feed and a short summary of the blogpost) or wouldn’t read any of the feed at all.
Switching back to 3.3.3 has corrected that problem – both aggregators read my feed perfectly, as they had done before and wil lall other prior Atahualpa theme version’s I’d used back to 3.2.. so it appears to me to be something that 3.4 is doing to “break” the feed.
I don’t know if it had anything to do with the new Atahualpa Post options Atahualpa is including in WordPress’s text editor.. but that was my first suspicion. Perhaps Flynn or some others have some other ideas.

And one more thing. The Javascript header image rotator does not rotate the images any longer… 🙁 I’m switching back to 3.3.3 unfortunately.

Flynn, thanks for your work! I guess smth broke in version 3.4.01 compared to 3.3.3… I am talking about the ‘Category Widget Display Type’ setting. Despite being set as ‘inline’, the category widget won’t display the number of posts in the same line with the category name. Please see http://www.genie.lv, the upper left widget.

Little bug: When you opt to center the page menu bar, it adds the dashed line around it whether you want it to or not 🙂

Hallo Flynn,
I’m using two sidebars. By upgrading from Atahualpa 3.3.3 -> 3.4.01 all widgets from the “RIGHT sidebar” would change the location to the invisible “LEFT INNER sidebar”.
Is there a easy way that I have NOT to move all widgets and their configuration – step by step – to the original right position?

Just upload the unzipped theme into wp-cotent/themes in a folder having a different name than your version 3.3.3 or lower. Atahualpa themes have all the parameters stored in the database, so this data will not be gone once you’re switching the theme in the admin area to the newest one. However any files you stored, e.g. own header images have to be copied from your old theme location to the new one.

I completely deleted the atahualpa34 theme directory on my server. Then downloaded and installed again, but getting same errors:

I was able to fix this by manually downloading the class.JavaScriptPacker PHP files and putting the php5 version into the atahualpa34/functions/ directory. Did I miss something with the new download?

Just installed. Getting errors about JavaScriptPacker.phpp. Looked like a typo, so I removed the extra “p” from “.phpp”. But it looks like the JavascriptPacker.php file does not exist in the theme functions directory.
