The featured content gallery was somehow not working on my nginx server, I couldn’t figure it out today, but it worked on Apache & Atahualpa 3.3.3 & WP 2.7.1 (= config of the link above)
Edit: First 1-2 downloads had the Featured Content Gallery code still at the top of index.php, please download again or delete it from your downloaded index.php.

Help Norbert or anyone who can help, I want to have smooth transitions like Norbert’s comment, but I’m a novice, anyway you can translate your comment for us novices on “Edit header.php and load the jQuery library before the IF image changing block”, I downloaded the jquery.BgImageTransitions.js file, downloaded the 3.4.1 version added the script to make the rotating header images… Greatly appreciate any comments!

I love this theme SO much, but it has one fatal flaw. I reeeeeally need the option to change the category view to show full posts instead of summaries. I can’t find that anywhere in the 200+ theme options! Help!

I’m having the same problem as Radhi-I want to remove blogroll and Meta from my page and i cant. if i try to move another widget into right sidebar it messes up. I dont have any widgets in my sidebar but meta and blogroll still show up in right sidebar. I’m using WP ver 2.8

Hello and thank you for the theme! I was woundering if there is any way to center a image on the side bar. I used the text widget to enter the HTML for the image but the image came out appearing to be cut off because it was not centered within the side bar. I adjusted the pixels for the width on the side bar and that helped to see more of the image but it is still not centered. Please take alook and tell me how and if I can fix this. Thank you.

Love the tab widget you use on the 2.7 demo page, but I can’t get it to show “Posts” or figure out how to replace the bars with an arrow or dot like you use. I’m assuming that the first is a problem with 2.8 and the second is a css issue I need to deal with?

Hey Flynn,
My upgrade to the newest WordPress and Atahualpa went very well. Just one problem, my “Home” page.
The “Home” page is the first thing you see at http://www.tomguilmette.com. It seems that I get error messages when I try to edit or access the page using the WP dashboard. The “Edit this Entry” link does not even show up just above the comments when I’m logged in! Why is this?
I set the page separate from “my blog” because I wanted an alternative splash page for announcements. Now, I just want this page to be a page with “continue reading” short entries from my actual blog. Is this possible? How do I fix the error message?

Hi,
There seems to be a problem with the latest version of wordpress in adding/deleting widgets from the sidebar. I have none placed in the sidebar but the meta one shows up on the blog. If I move widgets to the sidebar it all gets messed up. I mainly wanted to remove the meta widget. I’m on WP 2.7

Buddy I have a wishlist of features for the upcoming edition of Atahualpa theme
here it goes:
1. Editing of Category Bar container too and not just category tabs
2. Editing of Header Container and not just header title and header logo.
3. Editing of Complete border style instead of just
4. Some sort of thumbnail options(I have added it myself, but I am unable to make plugin to upload thumbnails, coz I don’t know how)
5. Reconsider the %wp-print% option coz it does not work with url rewrite engine on and with changed permalink structure.
A few more things are not working which I’ll let you know as soon as I’ll remember them

Just realised that the version 3.33 has been put into a separate sub directory of my 3.2 version so this has not actually upgraded so I am still with version 3.2 and getting the errors – I think I prefer the 3.2 version so please help and as mentioned before I get:

So there really exist the bug thats not enabling people to use the Only Excerpts option for their homepage, I think I have found it and here’s the solution….
In the theme’s function’s folder, you’ll find a file named bfa_post_parts.php, just open it in text editor.
In the function named function bfa_post_bodycopy() just add this line on the top
global $postcount;
then you’ll be able to use the Only Excerpts options for homepage too…..
The problem lies in the fact that this function is comparing in the if statement, the variables that are not yet declared, so it always returning FALSE in that condition…..
Let it be……
Theme also requires the implementation of Icons which I have done in my case, and also editing of the complete header CSS…..

I found a minor bug.
If you go in to bfa_header_config.php and search for “inputblur” – you’ll find a line that appears as below:
input type=”text” class=”text inputblur” onfocus=”this.value=\”.
This should be changed to read:
input type=”text” class=”inputblur” onfocus=”this.value=\”.
As it stands editing the appropriate section of the style sheet doesn’t change the search text box as it should, but if this fix is applied, then it works as it should!

I want to mention that the atahualpa 3.3.3 theme has a slight problem with the random header images.
I found that it did not randomized the filename paths array properly.
In the functions/bfa_header_config.php file i added some randomness in the seed and shuffled the array before being used with the array_rand function.

Hmm, I’m not sure what’s changed, but it looks fine in FF 3.0.10 on Linux now. I had switched to a totally different theme and then switched back, now it looks okay.
I don’t have any caching plugins, so it’s not that. I’m really not sure, but the fact that happened at all, and considering the hacks I’ve done to make this look the way I want, I may just end up writing my own theme anyway. Nevertheless, this is an extremely awesome theme!!

Okay, I solved my little bar2 issue, wasn’t that hard.
I’ve hacked the CSS a lot for this theme, I may just need to make my own theme for what I’m trying to accomplish.
Is it a known issue that in some situations the link bar will be rendered as an expanded tree? I find on Firefox 3.0.10 on Windows, everything looks great. For Firefox 3.0.10 on Linux, the Links are an expanded tree:

first of all let me congratulate you for this awesome theme!
I’m experimenting with it now for a couple of hours and discover more and more of it’s beautiness. One feature I was missing was a smooth transition of the changing header images (see also several threads in the forum). By implementing the Background-Image Transition Plugin (based on jQuery which is loaded anyway) I was able to realize this:
Edit header.php and load the jQuery library before the IF image changing block.
In this block load the mentioned bgImageTransition script (I saved it to the themes js directory):

Now you have to change just a few lines in the image changing script:

Voila, the header images fade! Be aware though that jQuery isn’t loaded several times, as this will break the enhancement of the jQuery object hierarchy.

I love your themes and use them all the time. I’m wondering though if this new one has been tested in chrome (google browser)? I use chrome and when I went to view the test page, it comes up very whacky and all out of place. Don’t want to upgrade if its going to look funny like that for me (and potentially my users)!

I’m hoping I can get a little help with it though.. If I can get this solved well enough, this company will leave Dot Net Nuke for WordPress, so please help!
The issue is that in my page I’m trying to seamlessly join the main body of my page content with the bottom most section of my header. But everything looks to be separated by about 10px. This must be somewhere in the css settings, I’ve just not found it after hours of looking around.
I also would really like a tip on how I could manually embed/superimpose links in the “bar2” part of the header?

i just updated from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 and am really loving the new features. however, my “thumbnails for excerpts” plugin is not working anymore. I reverted to 3.3.2 and it started back up again though so am i missing something in the new settings or is it a bug?

Hi, i really love this theme, but if you use “NoDoFollow” tool, you can see that every internal linking is “NoFollow”, which mean that google won’t trace it. Please make the improvement so that all the internal linking are “DoFollow.” Or, if there is a way to change the setting, could you give the steps required to change it? You can check my website on http://the-bestlifeinsurance.com/. If you don’t have “NoDoFollow” plugin, you can type on google “nodofollow plugin” and install it. Please help me because internal linking is very important to search engine.

Hi, I like the basic theme and just ran the preview for 3.3.3 at http://wp27.bytesforall.com/ in Firefox 3.0.10 in WinXP. Unfortunately it doesn’t display properly. The columns overlap and are confusing, unreadable. I’m guessing some CSS glitch. Keep up the effort, most reviews look positive. I’d like to use this theme when it’s stable and error-free.

A little thing, I experienced also in the previous release; no frame and rounded corners appear, though border radius is given, and the border is solid. There were no changes, except the theme update.

Hi Flynn, great job on the update. There is however a minor issue i’m having with the way the theme render the tables. Before the update the page looked fine but with the new 3.3.3 update the tables on this page http://www.kaibigan.groups.pdx.edu/exec-board/ looks all squish together and doesn’t seem to space out evenly as before. Would you have any idea why that is so?

I love this theme, and have it used it for several clients.
Right now I have the theme set for fluid full, and the clients want the menu to display in the center, rather then the left.

Thanks! Great work! I wonder if you have changed the settings on H1 etc. It is not set up properly in 3.3.2 for SEO (or am I missing something?). As I am a wanker when it comes to html and php I don’t want to fu.. up the code by myself, so an update that will fix this would be highly appreciated. Cheers mate!

when does 3.3.4 appear? Because of the bug in 3.3.3 (option “Only Excerpts” does not work on homepage, you’ve done it) i am waiting every day for this next update. With some untranslated fragments (e.g. “Leave a Reply”) I have some problems too and hope, I can solve it with the update.

I love this theme, and the users seem to like it as well. However, I am having one major issue. When placing photos in the posts we’ve run up against a wall with how to get blockquotes to wrap around text. (example: http://cgblog.org/2009/05/14/babies-need-pfds-too/) The whole site looks great, but without the ability to have the blockquote text being able to wrap that may be a deal breaker as I don’t think it looks to professional. Can anyone help with this?

Hi flynn,
I recently changed over from 3.2 to 3.3 and the permalink problem has appeared again. I tried to change back to 3.2 but the permalink issue is now present on that installation also. I tried resetting both themes using the built in ‘ reset all’ function but nothing changes. Lastly, I removed all versions of the themes and started again with 3.1.9 but still the permalink issue remains. After all my re-installs , I was using the default wordpress permalink setting.
Could you offer any further suggestions other than re-installing wordpress?

Wow! I checked out the preview and it looks great!
I like the tabs in the right side-bar and the accordion on the left. It lets you put a lot more content above the fold. This is one of the best themes I have ever seen.

I really love your theme and all the cool things I can do with it… I like the TDO Mini Form plugin as well…for whatever reason it not compatible with your theme… I am willing to pay if there is some way to make it work… In your reply I will send you the message I receive…
