This works for me both locally and on the web server. If the new settings don’t get picked up try restarting your browser, it might be a caching issue. That’s not to say that this is guaranteed bug-free.

I’m having an issue with the drop down menu. My sub-pages are falling below my parent page, not to the right of them, so they’re blocking out other pages that I have listed under the same parent page.
If anyone could help me out with this issue, that’d be fantastic. I want to get it fixed before the site goes live.

Hello.
On my main blog page that lists my posts, which I included above when you click my name. I use Atahualpa and used to show my blog pictures on that main blog page with the summary of my latest entry.
All of a sudden they do not show the pictures.
Anyone know why?

I have the Atahualpa theme 3.4.9 on my blog http://e-michiganinsurance.com and every time I log on to a computer I get an older version of my blog. I change a couple of categories a month ago. I am not sure if this is a cache issue. How can I get the new version to show up.
November 8th, 2010 at 5:31 am
ok so you have an updated version but I care not……this theme is fan dabby dozzy, its everything that a wordpress theme should be….cool editable and friendly to change the settings, I was gonna have a go at you cos I could not for the life of me get it working and activated on the live site, uploading many times and activating to NO luck, I found out that it was the web hosts changing thier settings, I cannot wait to try the new version but it will have to wait………….KEEP up the good work guys I have tried 20 or 30 styles so far and this beats the rest hands down.
Now I can start redesigning it to how I want and try importing my blogs and pages from another site of mine…..fingers crossed as not had any luck yet with the latter lol

Hi I need help, my Atahualpa theme will not show my blog. It always says, “You’re looking for something that’s not here.” Can anyone advise? I would like my blog to be on the main page of my site. Thanks!

To change the 5 pixel black top/bottom lines above/below the header image:
Select “Add HTML/CSS Inserts” and edit the CSS code:
div#imagecontainer {
border-top: solid 5px #333;
border-bottom: solid 5px #333;
}
September 15th, 2010 at 1:58 pm
I just installed Atahualpa 3.4.9, and cannot get the default top and bottom black borders removed from the header image area. I can’t find any setting that allows these borders to be changed. I have reset the theme options, but they still appear and cannot be edited. I’d be content to change them the same color as the background, but can’t find the setting for it.
Can anyone provide help, please?

I have a problem with my blogs showing up with this theme. I’m using Atahualpa 3.4.9, and my posts are not showing up under the “Blog” tab as they did with my other theme. I have the settings correct, but it says, “You are looking for something that is not here.”
Also, on one of my pages, the right sidebar does not properly show up. It appears at the bottom, below my copy. Any advice on the blog problem and the sidebar on the one page? My site is http://www.freedomfrompcos.com.
Thanks!

I’ve installed atahuapla theme, but as you can see here http://www.persempreinsieme.com/RiccardoMari/wordpress/ only text appear, not pictures or graphic at all. i don’t think it’s a question of version (i’m using 3.4.9 but tried with 3.5.3 and don’t work as well). Also I have another site built on Atahualpa theme and it works just fine : http://www.signaromanorum.org
thanks for replying

In version 3.4.9 I want to edit the home page but I can not find any way to do that. I am not using this theme for a blog and want to edit the home page, but it does not show up in the ‘pages’ section on the wordpress toolbar. Is there anything I can do?
July 7th, 2010 at 9:38 am
Hello
I have recently upgraded to the 3.4.9 version, and my Page menu bar developed the following problems:
1) menu items have different widths: for example, PUBLICATIONS->POSTERS is narrower than the rest
2) sub-menus are not expanded to the right of the menu-item as before, but underneath it. This leads to an overlapping of menu and sub-menu items, meaning that what is “underneath”, cannot be clicked. As an example, WORKSHOPS->COSMOS WORKSHOP 2009 produces 2 sub-menus (CALL FOR PAPERS and PROGRAMME), that shadow the COSMOS WORKSHOP 2010 menu.
I’m not sure if this is a consequence of upgrading to WP 3.0, or upgrading Atahualpa. Thank you for any help.
July 6th, 2010 at 3:27 pm
I’ve just upgraded (successfully) to WordPress 3.0 from 2.9.2, and then tried unsuccessfully to manually upgrade my Atahualpa 3.4.4 to 3.4.9. (manual since automatic notified me that I would lose all my customizations). In preview on WP3.0 all the formatting is there but the post content is not. When I activate 3.4.9, the formatting then all disappears along with the content. I’m at a total loss as to how to accomplish this task. Can you help me?

Have the same problem that Cathrine (posting 11) has:
blank page and only the line: “Powered by WordPress & the Atahualpa Theme by BytesForAll. Discuss on our WP Forum”.
What to do now? Install a newer version?

Hello there!
I just sent you an inquiry relating to Atahualpa 3.4.9 version theme. I already found the culprit that hidden my widgets area, it was the “Comment Loop Plugin”. Anyway, you might want to still tell me other plugins that might negatively affect the theme.
Anyway, I’d like to ask HOW can I put “numbering in comments” (e.g. first comment would be numbered 1, then second comment would be numbered 2 and so on and so forth)?
Thank you again and more power!
June 29th, 2010 at 7:33 am
Hello there!
I would just like to WHERE my widgets area go (Appearance > Widgets) – the one on the right side of widgets page inside WP admin?
I think it was caused by one of the plugins I have installed today since I used to see the widgets area yesterday but what plugin would it have caused this(if you wish to know every single plugin I have installed, please inform me via email, in case you’re not sure which plugin)? Do you have a list of plugins that are NOT compatible with your theme (Atahualpa 3.4.9) that we need to be aware of to avoid such problems and other problems as well?
Hoping for a quick response. Thank you and more power! By the way, I love your WP theme.
May 29th, 2010 at 5:03 am
I saw the earlier complaints about not getting Atahualpa to view after Activating it within WordPress’ backend. There is a step to do after activating – you must go to the Atahualpa Theme Options on the Left column and select to “Reset” the theme options if this is for a new install. Saving the CSS and such as another poster suggested seems to be the key for an upgraded install. Hope this helps. I really like Atahualpa.
May 27th, 2010 at 8:08 am
James, glad the Reset Button worked for you! I think the reset all button works if it is a clean install of WP.
In relation to the new version, I have to point out it is not mine! I am just an Atahualpa fan like yourself. I have just upgraded a lot of my sites to 350 and am busy playing with the new options.
May 27th, 2010 at 5:24 am
Mike, resetting the individual options pages one by one worked for me! The All Reset button did not work. I noticed that things started to change when I reset the first option in the header area. And now I see you have yet a newer version! I’ll try that and see if it works.

Rob’s comment about Atahualpa and WP-Navi/WP-Cache reminded me of a conflict I was experiencing. Apparently WordPress Firewall doesn’t like certain actions the ATO performs, and will send you to your home page after attempting a random change.
Fortunately, all you have to do is disable WP Firewall while working on your theme, then turn it back on when you’re done.
Just thought I’d give you a heads up. 😀
BTW, I’m STILL tweaking my website. I LOVE Atahualpa!
May 26th, 2010 at 6:00 pm
A lot of people seem to be complaining about the CSS not working and only the footer text displaying without actually reading the other comments!
The first thing to try after installing the new theme is go into the first Atahualpa Theme Options page and click the ‘reset all theme options’ button. This sometimes works.
If that doesn’t work do through each settings page and hit the red ‘Reset Settings’ button. Do this for each page and your theme will display fine…

I’ve been using Atahualpa on my webs sites up to version 3.4.6 and they work well. However, any version past 3.4.6. doesn’t show the preview, and when Activated the site disappears! Other themes other than Atahualpa all work as they should. I wondered if it could be a file permissions problem on the server, but all directories of the 3.4.9 theme are 755 like they should be. What could be the problem?
May 26th, 2010 at 2:11 am
The web site displays fine with v.3.4.4 but if I upgrade it to 3.4.9 the site does not display at all: blank pages except for the bottom line of “Powered by” text with the Bytes For All credit. I have tried it on Firefox 3.6 and IE 8 with the same results. I am using Win 7 Ultimate – but it does the same on XP SP3 with IE or Chrome. Has anyone else had this issue? It’s a very simple site – no hacks or complicated configs. Site is running on Slackware Linux with Apache 1. PHP 5.2.8. PHP mem limit is 128MB. MySQL 5.0.67. Using WP 2.9.2.

nice theme, i love it, look better from old version

I’m loving this theme, but am having intermittent trouble with Save Changes–sometimes I get an Error 400 message, but I’m not experienced enough to understand what I should do to fix it. Some theme option pages let me save changes just fine, others don’t. Any ideas on that?
May 24th, 2010 at 4:40 pm
I just downloaded the latest release but am having an issue with the sidebars. Only the right sidebar is showing up. T
May 24th, 2010 at 2:31 am
Hi,
Great theme, best WP theme I’ve found so far. One issue I’ve run into is that the category menu bar (bottom of the header) shows up with “no category” (actually says something else but I’m using WP in Japanese) on all my pages, whereas pages (as opposed to posts) don’t have categories. Am I making a very basic error somewhere? I would assume that at the least the text “no category” would be suppressed for content that can’t have a category. Sort of detracts from the visual quality.
Thanks!

Thanks for the update.

the best template ever made !! Bites For All Rulz !!
May 21st, 2010 at 4:16 pm
This is a great theme and very easy to customize. I do have one issue, and I wanted to see if there was an easy way to fix it. When you click on an excerpt the layout of the entire page shifts slightly left. Is there an easy way to eliminate this shift left?
Thanks!
Ben

Atahualpa, WP-PageNavi and WP-cache do not play well together. For some reason page 2, and only page 2, won’t display anything except for the header and part of the right-sidebar when all three are activated.
The only fix I’ve found is to either disable PageNavi or the cache.
May 20th, 2010 at 7:25 am
Ok, I started to upgrade but the warning said I will lose all customization. Is this true? It would take me hours to re-customize…, please let me know before I proceed, thanks.
May 20th, 2010 at 7:16 am
I love this theme.
It works great and is 99% customizable. If I could make one suggestion… Is there any way to create a button that would allow users to “turn off” sidebars? Especially if admin could control which sidebars could be turned off. I would like to use inner right sidebar for “extra” stuff, but allow users to close it if it gets in their way.
Excellent theme… I give it the highest rating and advise everyone to use it. *** I am about to upgrade to newest version, wish me luck.
May 19th, 2010 at 8:06 pm
I’ve been using this theme on both my ecommerce site and a writer’s blog. While I’m sure I haven’t gotten as creative as I could both sites look lovely!
May 19th, 2010 at 7:41 pm
It seems there is a bug in bfa_ata_admin.php page, since it references the $font_weight array, which is not declared anymore. I don’t know how to fix it, though. I guess I’ll wait for the next release :S
May 19th, 2010 at 7:34 am
Hi. I`m having trouble with the theme. When I activate it I get this messag when I try to view the worpress page;
“Powered by WordPress & the Atahualpa Theme by BytesForAll. Discuss on our WP Forum”
Why do I get that? what have I done wrong?
May 19th, 2010 at 12:14 am
I have had the same problems as everyone with the CSS not loading and only the footer displaying.
I discovered that by clicking the ‘reset all options’ button at the bottom of the first settings page it fixed everything and the page displays perfectly.
Beautiful theme by the way. I now have 4 or 5 sites running with this theme and all are unique.
May 18th, 2010 at 3:48 pm
It has great potential.I had problems with missing CSS when I upgraded Atahualpa on my test site.
May 18th, 2010 at 1:00 pm
What happened to the forum???
May 16th, 2010 at 9:41 pm
I use WP-pagenavi for page navigation and it disappeared after the upgrade. I was able to fix by going to the Next/Previous navigation menu and just pushing the save changes button.
BTW, this and the other problems I’ve had aren’t caused by the WP cache plug-in I’m using, or my browser cache. I’ve checked.
May 16th, 2010 at 11:41 am
thanks for the latest updates, this theme was so comfortable for me
May 14th, 2010 at 12:30 pm
This project has great potential, but please change the naming with something simple, appealing and effective to remember with a better logo design, not sure if you think only from the developer perspective, but without an effective branding and marketing, others will win over.
May 14th, 2010 at 5:21 am
I upgraded Ata 3.4.6 to 3.4.9
Looks very nice, but:
Now in the ‘Style Widgets’ options, ‘Link Text Weight’ is not selectable. The selectionbox is empty. Same for 2nd and 3rd and lower level. How to fix?
Thanx for the Theme!
May 12th, 2010 at 2:10 am
good job,the themes is very beautiful
May 11th, 2010 at 10:59 am
Me again. I had problems with missing CSS when I upgraded Atahualpa on my test site. But I didn’t have any problems at all when I did the upgrade on my “live” site. They are on different hosts but I can’t tell you more than that.
May 11th, 2010 at 10:46 am
I had the same problem others were complaining about with 3.4.8. The “Preview” looked fine, but all the CSS was missing when I activated it, even though I could still see it in the configuration menus.
I was able to fix the problem by pressing the “Save Changes” buttons on a couple of menus. I don’t remember what the first one was (probably “body, text & links”), but the second one was “Configure CSS & JSS.”
I hope this helps. BTW, I love Atahualpa and I’ve made a donation. Thank you.
